Week 28 - food and fun!

This week brought a new adventure - food!  We gave Brian cereal for the first time.  He really loved the process, though it took him a few days to decide he really liked the texture/flavor.  Overall he really did well with it, and he seems to enjoy getting to eat, after watching us do it for so long.

We also tried out the pool for the first time on Sunday.  It's cold, so this was a walk on the top step only, but Brian's love of all things water continues.  He's definitely going to be a fish!

Enjoy the pictures!

Playing with the favorite ball toy.

Enjoying the bath - in this case he's playing with the water from the "hand shower" on his tongue.

Such a cutie!  This was his weekly picture, but I put it here with a few others from the same set because I like it so much.

The first taste of cereal.  Here are pictures of Daddy getting it ready, and Brian trying to figure out what's going on.  He really enjoyed the process and seems to really enjoy it whenever we get the spoon out now!

The aftermath of a later attempt at cereal.  Most if it makes it in the mouth - but just to document the process he leaves some on his face!

The battery free version of this toy.  It's quite noisy and a little uncontrolled for this stage of play when you turn it on.

Grandma Amy's neighbor Julie (on the left) holding Brian.  Her daughter (I don't know her name) is holding her granddaughter, Zoe.  I love the way Brian is looking over at her.  Looks like Brian has his first girlfriend :)

Hangers.  Fun!  The simplest things seem to make the best toys.

Brian in his "My Dad is Rad" outfit.  First time I've seen that word in print since the movie Rad back in the 80's.  (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091817/)

Miscellaneous sleeping pictures.  Brian has discovered he prefers to sleep on his tummy most of the time now, unless of course one of us is snuggling him while he sleeps.

Playtime!  Brian was being quite a ham and I got some great pictures.  I really love the ones where you can see his face in the mirror.  Here's the whole set for your enjoyment.

The first pool experience.  Please ignore my pasty white legs ... they really glow in the sunlight!  Brian loved the pool, and was soaking wet by the time we were done.  So we pulled off the outfit and sported the fluffy red towel...

Miscellaneous eating of stuff - foot and strap both taste great!

First time swinging on his own at the neighborhood park.  He was eying a local kitty when this picture was taken.  He sure loves to be outside playing!

Giant Teddy Bear!  Grandma Amy bought this teddy bear ... for me!  I've since passed it on to Brian and he likes how big it is.  It makes a great wrestling partner.  And the ribbon is really intriguing too!

Here's a random one.  Brian was eating Grandma Amy's visor - while she was wearing it!

A few pictures with Grandma Amy.  We are so thankful that Brian gets to hang out with her during the days while I'm working.  Thanks!

Chewing on Sophie ... definitely a find.  Will have to buy at least one more in case we ever lose her!
