Week 26 - a whole half year old already!

26 weeks.  That's half a year.  I can't believe it's been half a year!  It can't be - time can't be going that fast!  But, it is.  Brian is doing so many new things I can hardly keep up.  He's trying to crawl (still - making progress), walk (he'll take steps if we hold his hands), pull up on things, talk (he said Baby this week, and something that we think is Bunny in honor of some of his favorite stuffed bunnies).  He's really not sure he wants to wait until he's supposed to do anything, if he has any say in the matter.  Here are some (ok lots) of pictures from this week.

The bouncer, so much fun!  On the left he's checking out that baby that seems to show up every time he's in front of a mirror.  So much fun having a playmate.  :)  On the right, can't you just hear him laughing?

A few pictures from his many walks.  Grandma Amy says he loves the fire hydrants.  Maybe a budding fire fighter like Daddy?  And on the right he's loving the neighbor kitty Kinzie - he talks up a storm any time he sees a kitty, just like Mama!

A random cheesy grin

I took this picture with the new iPhone 4 with the LED flash.  Doesn't it look like a really old picture?

One sleepy evening when he was trying so hard to stay awake.  He was just lounging and doing his best to keep his eyes open.  It only worked for a little while longer ...

Playing with Daddy.  This is Crush (from Finding Nemo) and Brian seems to love it when Daddy makes him "swim" around.

A set of "just too cute to pick out one" pictures.  I couldn't decide which ones were the best, so you get them all.  Well actually that's not true either.  There are a bunch more that I took - I narrowed it down to my favorite 14.  He was so happy just playing and rolling around on the bed this afternoon.

Our mobile little man.  Here he is checking out the edges of his pack-n-play to see how he might get out.  We've since had to drop the sleeping surface down so he doesn't get out!

 Sweet, sleeping boy!

Brian just loves this step stool at Grandma Amy's house.  It's just the right height to play on!

We got a new chew toy teether - a strawberry.  He loves it.  He especially likes it when I'll hold it for him so he can keep playing ...

And then there are the non-teething toys that he teethes on anyways ...

 Including the table ...

Playing with the "self portrait" front camera on the phone.  It's not really meant for picture but for picture chatting on the phone.  But it worked to get some cute pictures of the two of us.  See how he's asserting his independence as the shots progress ...

Random pictures playing with the book.  In the last one he really looks like he's reading it!

More random pictures of Brian and Mama.  I love the look on his face in the last one!  "Mom, not when my blog followers can see."  I can imagine that same face when I'm dropping him off for school some day.  :)

 With Grandma Amy's neighbor Julie.

Miscellaneous Papa Chuck pictures.  In the third one they just look so nonchalant!  In the last one he was watching Brian for a few minutes.  The boys have developed a rapport whereby they each were doing their own thing while being sure where the other one was.

Brian loves to study things.  Zippers.  Tags.  Ribbons on Bunnies.  Anything will do!

Last but definitely not least.  Here are the "random smiles to get Mama through her work day" pictures.
