36 weeks and counting

So I've decided that I'll be lucky to keep up in the next few weeks as we get ready for the move, and catching up isn't going to happen.  So we're going to skip ahead to the current week, and I'll go back and fill in those last few when I have time.  They'll be out of order, but it's still fun to look at them.

This week, Brian is working on tooth number 6 - on the top left side.  We've had a bit of a rough week with sleeping, and eating, and attitude, and ... well you get the idea.  But yesterday and today have been much better, and we're thankful for that!  Brian also got to swim with Gram Amy this week - a first as she doesn't get in the pool for just anyone!  But they had fun while Mama and Daddy were getting things done around the house.

Here are some cute pictures.  I got lazy and didn't hardly take any pictures (until today, of course).  But he Brian did a great job being photogenic today so I got some great shots.

We finally had our friends Teresa and Jason over this weekend.
Here is Brian with his "Auntie" Teresa!

A whole bunch of random shots of Brian playing this morning.  He was having fun, and made some great faces.

Love this look on his face!

 Sleepy Boy!

Teething ... on everything!

A fuzzy picture of Brian hugging on his Daddy.  So sweet to see my boys loving each other!

Eyes closed - just like Mama and Gram!

Such a happy boy.  These morning pictures from Gram Amy are getting me through my last few weeks at work!

My little engineer in training - figure out how things work ...
He looks like he's going to open Gram's lockbox with his toes!

Mmm, prunes!

 Just playing ...

 Playing at Gram's

Cory wasn't feeling well, and Brian was crabby.  I left them home while I got us some dinner, and this is how I found them when I got back!

 Hello world!

Playing with Daddy.  They were making faces at each other and they finally settled on the same one!
Brian in Cory's arms.  Brian being tickled by Cory - and laughing out loud!

Brian on Cory's shoulder - he loves it up there!

Week 33 - Welcome to Odessa ...

Here are pictures (and one video) from week 33.  We drove to Odessa on Thursday of this week on our way to El Paso over the weekend.  We got some great shots of Brian with Cory's side of the family.  Brian even got to ride on a forklift for the first time, with "uncle" John Searcy!  Check out the video of them operating the controls.

Brian has also gotten three new teeth in the last few weeks.  I think number 5 (total) showed up while we were in Odessa.  Hopefully just one more top tooth and he'll have a break.

This was in Lake Jackson before we left.  I just love the look on his face!

Fascinated with his ball....  Brian studies everything so intently!

Our road trip out to Odessa went well.  Brian slept most of the way, and when we stopped for dinner, he was flirting with a little 5 year old girl at the table next to us.

I took to using the floorboard on the front passenger side of the 4Runner to change Brian, and he found it to be a good place to play/stretch while we were taking a break.

This box was the perfect play pen in Odessa for Brian.

Here is Brian with his cousin Gavin.  Gavin is nearly 6 months older than Brian, but Brian is taller and heavier than him.  We've got a bruiser on our hands!  This is their first fist fight - Gavin wasn't sure he wanted to share his Aunt Brenda with Brian.  :)

On the forklift with John.

Here is Brian on a little tractor at Grammy's house that Cory used to play with.

Here is Brian on Pup Pup (a cool rocking puppy dog) that Cory was very fond of as a child.  Brian loved it!

Cory set up the record player for his Mom.  Brian enjoyed watching the process, and dancing with Grandmother Brenda

I was sick when we left Lake Jackson, and Brian picked it up from me by the time we got to Odessa.  Here we are, taking a much needed nap!

A trip to Target for some baby food among other things was our first chance to introduce Brian to his Aunt Mary Ann (they got along wonderfully!).  Grammy was also there with us.

On our way to El Paso - this is the picnic area we found after Brian woke up from his nap.  Love my boys!

Brian in his play pen while we were unpacking at the hotel in El Paso.
We got some great pictures of Brian with Grammy.

Here's one with Grandpapa Dell and Grandmother Brenda.   Brian was enjoying crawling around Grammy's living room to the various people who all love him so much.

Here are some with Grandpapa Dell.

We went to visit Richard and Kathy while in town.  Richard gives great hair cuts, and Kathy put a great color in my hair.  While we were there they got to meet Brian for the first time.

Cory's brother Scott showed up to hang out with us, along with his kids Rilee and Garret.  Here's a picture of Rilee holding Brian, and one of the four of them together.

And last for the week, a good shot Cory got of me with Brian.
